Recovery is a post-race gift for finish-line tents, running clubs and physical therapy or chiropractic sponsors who want their name on what runners use after the miles. A round gel ice pack and a massage roller stick go home for tired legs, the 10 ml energy-stone oil roller bottle and a pair of sports socks are small comforts for the drive home, and an 11-inch hand clapper goes to the family and friends cheering along the course. Hand the clappers out to spectators before the start and save the rest of the kit for the finish area. Sponsors can print a clinic name and phone number on the ice pack and roller stick so the contact goes home with the runner.
